Reinhard Eberhart reads from Shakespeare
On a wooden jetty in front of the "Lido" restaurant, Reinhard Eberhart reads from Shakespeare in a "much ado about nothing" air, dramatised in a cloudy setting. Eberhart sits at the table clad in a plastic mac; white sheets piled up on the table; the name of the English poet and playwright is written in the middle of each sheet; two yards off a waiter waits; next to him a table covered with glasses of beer; a styrofoam ball hangs from each beer glass; Eberhard reads from Shakespeare loudly and distinctly and carelessly disposes of the first sheet; the waiter brings a glass of beer; Eberhard takes a swig of his beer; the procedure is repeated and savoured to the full; after the final mouthful he throws the glass over his shoulders into Lake Wörthersee.
